Working to protect and promote the Nisqually Watershed for current and future generations

Salmon spawning behavior video

Our friends at the South Puget Sound Salmon Enhancement Group recently made a video, highlighting salmon spawning behaviors. Check it out! Which ones are you familiar with?

These behaviors, while fascinating to watch, are important to recognize. Armed with your new knowledge, you can now understand what salmon are doing when you come across them in the streams and rivers through the Nisqually Watershed. If you do see any salmon exhibiting these spawning behaviors, take some pictures and shoot us an email. We’d love to keep track of where you see the salmon!
