Meet Minah!

Welcome our new intern, Minah!

Minah is completing her Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Analysis and Spanish at Pomona College in Claremont, California. Her academic focus leans towards environmental justice and politics. Minah is excited to gain experience in environmental education and community outreach through the NREP. She is especially interested in the role of citizen science when it comes to environmental advocacy and conservation.

Minah has experience in educating youth volunteers on trail maintenance trips with the Washington Trails Association, as well as facilitating Pomona College’s outdoor education program as a staff member of the Outdoor Education Center.

Born and raised in Olympia, Washington, Minah has always had a love for the outdoors and hopes to enjoy as much of the Pacific Northwest before she leaves to study abroad next semester in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Outside of work, you can find her skiing, hiking, playing ultimate frisbee, and reading comic books!
