Working to protect and promote the Nisqually Watershed for current and future generations

Nisqually River Foundation

Fostering a healthy watershed through building partnerships, engaging volunteers, and providing educational opportunities.

The Nisqually River Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that provides the staffing and funding power for the Nisqually River Council. We are committed to the successful implementation of the Nisqually Watershed Stewardship Plan, and believe that a healthy community stems from environmental, social and economic sustainability.

The NRF currently has 7 Board Members who come from diverse backgrounds and fields of expertise, and bring unique perspectives to the Foundation operations.

The NRF employs four full-time staff members, as well as one Washington Service Corps Volunteer. We also employ contract employees for several partner organizations. Our projects range from youth and adult education to climate change adaptation to facilitating the development of sustainable recreation opportunities.

The support of our donors and volunteers is what keeps the NRF running. Learn more about ways to support our work.
