Working to protect and promote the Nisqually Watershed for current and future generations

Welcome, Zoë!

Hi, my name is Zoë Lovell and I am the newest member of the Nisqually River Education Program! I’m a recent graduate from The Evergreen State College and I have a HUGE passion for wildlife. My education has taken me all over the Pacific Northwest studying diverse ecosystems and pressing environmental issues facing local communities.  From endangered species being wiped out to industrial runoff thwarting recreational activities, one thing reins true: habitat conservation needs to be important to everyone.

Just a few things that make me smile include: laughter, forests, bird watching, wind, rats, field work, seahorses, tennis, thai food, and a tight R&B classic.  I believe I’m in the perfect place to live my nature-loving life to the fullest and I hope you feel the same!

During this internship, I hope to help others access information about their local watershed and spread environmental consciousness throughout their communities. My goal is to bring people of all ages closer to the natural world around them.
