What is a community forest? It’s a working forest owned and managed to benefit the local community. The Nisqually Community Forest supports local family-wage forestry and milling jobs, protects critical salmon and wildlife habitat, and provides unique recreational opportunities on the flanks of Mount Rainier.

During this webinar you’ll learn about things like:

  • The NCF’s practice of “ecological forestry.”
  • Its groundbreaking approach to protecting threatened steelhead trout.
  • The spectacular cross-country ski trails maintained on NCF property by the Mount Tahoma Trails Association.
