Executive Committee
The NRC’s Executive Committee consists of the Chair and Vice Chair of the Nisqually River Council and the Chair of the Citizens Advisory Committee. In 2020, the members of the Executive Committee are David Troutt (NRC Chair) and Phyllis Farrell (NRC Vice Chair and CAC chair).
Citizens Advisory Committee
The NRC CAC is open to all members of the public with an interest in sustainability and stewardship in the Nisqually Watershed. The CAC was included in the original Nisqually River Management Plan to ensure that community members had a substantial voice and active role in the Nisqually River Council, including three voting representatives on the NRC. The CAC provides advice and information to the NRC by request and reports on activities and citizen issues throughout the Watershed, and is also a forum for raising community questions, concerns, or requests for action to the full Council. CAC members may also volunteer with programs throughout the watershed and can serve on additional committees of the NRC. The CAC meets monthly to discuss current issues and set goals and objectives for the committee. Applications for CAC membership is open to all. For CAC meeting dates and information about attending, contact info@nisquallyriver.org.
