The Eatonville Salmon Fest is a celebration of the returning salmon to the Nisqually River. This year, the returning salmon include a massive run of pinks, which will be visible from the festival! Join the Nisqually River Council, Nisqually Indian Tribe, Town of Eatonville and countless other partners on Saturday, October 17th from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at Millpond Park.
This free festival has numerous hands-on activities, delicious food options, live music and chances to learn more about the Nisqually Watershed. In order to make the day a success, we need you!
Volunteers are needed for set-up on Friday, October 16 and all day on Saturday October 17!
Volunteers can chose to work a variety of jobs, including set-up, henna tattoos, wooden fish painting, salmon print t-shirts or clean-up. Slots are available in 2-hour increments, and volunteers who work for 2 or more hours will receive a $5 lunch voucher to be used at the festival.
All volunteers must register through Rachael Mueller (rachael.mueller@nwtrek.org)–sign up soon to get the slot of your choosing! If you have any other questions, please call 360-438-8715. See you there!

Hi Rachael
I live in Eatonville and would like volunteer at the Salmon Festival.
I saw an article in The Dispatch. I feel I could best serve as a volunteer by doing crafts with the kids. I did not see a list of exactly all crafts just some general stuff for volunteers.
I have been crafting since I was in my teens and have passed that love on to my kids and Grandkids.
This sounds like such great fun.
I look forward to from hearing from you, Linda
