Working to protect and promote the Nisqually Watershed for current and future generations

Support the Nisqually River Foundation online today

The Nisqually River Foundation, the 501(c)3 non-profit that supports the Nisqually River Council is celebrating a successful 2015. Among other things, the NRF worked to bring 1,000 students from classrooms across the watershed to field experiences such as water quality monitoring, habitat restoration and salmon carcass tossing. We also led the ever-popular Nisqually Stream Stewards class, with 22 people graduating as more knowledgable volunteers.

As we look ahead to 2016, we are preparing for an equally successful year. We will continue to work on the establishment of a community forest, and will examine ways to responsibly increase access to the Nisqually River. As always, the Nisqually River Education Project and Nisqually Stream Stewards will provide free, hands-on experiences to students and community members so that the long-term stewardship of the watershed becomes a community based effort.

We could do complete this work without your support. As you consider which efforts to support this holiday season, consider donating to the Nisqually River Foundation so it can continue to fund the NRC and implement the Nisqually Watershed Stewardship Plan.

Thank you!
